Hello! My name is Katrina Paruch and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. I offer ADHD management therapy for school-aged children and their families, youth, adults; couples/relationship therapy, and individual counselling for adults and youth age 16+. I believe that every individual is unique and there is no cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all method to therapy, so I take a person-centered approach that positions you as the expert on yourself and me as your guide and support. You and I will work together collaboratively to explore factors that are contributing to the difficulties or challenges you are facing, create long-term goals, and develop a plan to help you get to where you want to be. Approaches I use include internal family systems, emotionally focused couples therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy. I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, non-judgmental place for everyone, regardless of their beliefs or worldview. My goal is to support you on your journey towards healing and personal growth in a way that is meaningful and comfortable for you.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Summit Pacific College in BC and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in New Brunswick. I am Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy trained, am in the process of completing ADHD Clinical Services Provider certification.
